Final Letter head:

Final Business card:

 Complimentary slip :

I tried the email address's in a different color to see if it would make a difference, to match the green grass. Not  sure if it goes. Undecided yet with it.

pro 2 : Identity Design Development 2 ( IMAGE)

Some sketches of different styles of cows, I'm looking for an animated effect. The name "Crafty Cows" I will incorporate into the animation. I want the cow character to look very crafty!

Uppercase or lower case ?
& alignment ideas:

Developing Logo Type style:

Now that I've chosen my style of type, i was still unsure to Uppercase or lower case & large or small type:

After carefull consideration I decided to go for the slightly larger lowercase type, for me it looked the best.

Final Logo type style:

PRO TWO Identity

Process

This next brief is a 24hr one, but we were giving a week instead to do it, due to other work to be handed in..So basically I am to do a graphic representation that identifies a company, product,or brand. As we all know it "A logo". The first step to take within this process will be :

1. Research and Ideation:
Well firstly I've decided to do a small online company which is my brother and his partner online business " Crafty Cows". They are an upcoming business that  specialize in gift-ware  personalized items for everyday or for that someone special.

Here is Crafty Cows original logo image:
Here are some examples of Crafty Cow's work, All their work is hand made,
hand written &also hand painted :

Thoughts for potential logo: Looking at their work, I noticed that they use a certain style of writing for each gift, at the tip of each letter they add a little dot which is quite a lovely we effect and very distinctive, which flows very nicely together, here's an example their type:

I feel this style should also be incorporated into the company name, an would flow very nicely together. I'm getting the feel for something really simplistic, maybe even incorporate their plaque style into the logo. As their work is all hand made, I would like to also incorporate this style into the logo. Nothing decided yet but just a few ideas i think i could potentially work for the business card/Letter head/ Complimentary slip & logo. I asked Crafty Cows did they have an specific style they wanted me to design and they said:

"keep it very plain, with a wee cow
so that it doesn't take away
from the name"

                                Research/Inspiration

Here are some simplistic logo styles I came across:

These simplistic ideas are styles that I will be looking to achieve, to design a really strong image & type. I feel these logos are perfect an example.

My final istory book....

Finally i've got here, i'm very chuffed with my outcome, I do still feel there's bits of tweeking that I would like to later for my portfolio but for now this is my finished product.

A rough copy of my istory book

After taking all the pages of the book into after effects and creating an animated page turn and animated txt i then rendered all. Using ram preview i used my camera to video it so it would have an effect of like using it on an iphone which i am going to try and create for my final piece. This a rough copy of how it will look minus the voice over and atmosphere sounds:
After taking this into premeire pro and using the crop tool, it turned out very pixelated.
And you cant see the txt or anything, so when i crop it again i'm going to have to scale it up.Hopeful it will look better than this .

Animated page turns finished

Okay this is my final animated page turns featuring my story book.
Because there is ten pages in the book and that's including front and back cover
it took a pretty long time.

Here is the tutorial i followed to accomplish my animated page turner, was very easy and simple to understand, great tutorial

Animated idea ( after effects )

Here is a rough clip that i done up in after effects, to show use
how my page turn effect will look :

istory apps (Interactive stories for kids)

My original idea was to create a kids story book, but taking a more modern approach to it, I thought why not make it an istory app. Basically its interactive stories for kids. Its funny I've never heard of istories until the other day when i seen my brother showing his son a little book, the istory book had a voice over to read out the story and it had animated page turns, and very cool sound effects. I thought what a great idea for kids. After class critique my lecture also touched on the point that I should look into istory apps, which has now lead me to this stage now of the process. Here are some of examples of how istory apps look like :

This example here shows you that you can slide through to different books

Prezi.com presentation ( storybook)

In this prezi  presentation I took my whole process from start to finish. I talk about how I chose my poem and why i chose it, that being Robin Red Breast. I then showed pictures of character research, as the robin  is the main character of the story, i wanted to take a quirky but yet cute approach to his character. I then showed pictures of Background scene research, touching on how simple I want my story to be illustrated, nearly like kitsch illustrations, were every object is very simple. After extensive research I started my story boarding, with different styles of background scenes, and sketching up ideas of different little characters. I then talked about the mediums i was going to use, or was using. I sketched all scenes and character by hand, then went over all lines in black mark, scanned them all in to photoshop were I filled in with color and used a filter called paint dubs which turned out quite nicely. I showed a few ideas that i was messing with in photoshop, showing what kind of style i was aiming for, colors effects etc. Then i ended off my presentation with the full story book:

My story book complete for now

These are my final images for my story book, for now
they will do until class critque. I'm think that i will add
another two page's to make up that sequence! 12 pages
outta do it. Over all i like what i have done so far, but
There is still more development on these images to be
                                     done.

During class critique i was giving some very positive feed back
which was great. I feel the images I created are very strong, thy only thing I will change it my
type and maybe the color, as it does not suit the style of the illustrations and may appear to be camouflaged in some parts. Here's my final story book:
